![]() At level 3, five sticks of dynamite are placed between the bomb and barrels of gunpowder. When first placed, the Giant Bomb consists of a single big Bomb tied together to three barrels of gunpowder with a single round of rope.Giant Bombs undergo significant visual changes at level 3, 5, and 7.Likewise, it is best to avoid doing the same when approaching a suspicious empty space, lest a Giant Bomb appears. Don't use the Barbarian King or Archer Queen's abilities when they trigger a Giant Bomb, as they will blow up the summoned troops.Try using a Hero or a troop with lots of hitpoints such as a P.E.K.K.A or Golem to trigger the Giant Bomb as they will not take much damage compared to their overall health. When you see a Giant Bomb about to explode, don't deploy more troops near it as they will explode too, because the Giant Bomb has a time between when it explodes.Use a Healing Spell to heal your remaining troops, especially if you're a lower level using Giant attacking strategy after they trigger a Giant Bomb.Try to trigger them with a single expendable troop such as a Barbarian (or a Goblin if it is near resource buildings) if you can drop them one by one near 2×2 spaces in an attempt to trigger them as to prevent further losses in your army.Placing them between two Defensive Buildings ensures that the Giants and Hog Riders will be closely grouped before triggering the bomb. Other players prefer to place the Giant Bomb further into their bases to act as a trap for Hog Rider and Giant groups. This ensures that troops will get grouped up while destroying the external building, after which the bomb triggers, destroying many troops at once. ![]() The best place to put outside Giant Bombs is behind external buildings, but in front of external Walls. Some players place their Giant Bombs on the outside of their bases, to ensure that troops will trigger them early, helping to prevent 50% destruction. As with any other Trap, Giant Bombs cannot be triggered during an upgrade. Combat this by relocating it during the upgrade period. Be cautious when upgrading the Giant Bomb, as this will reveal its location to future attackers.Your enemy may decide that the area is safe once they do not trigger a Hidden Tesla, then spawn additional troops, which will all be blown up by the Giant Bomb. If you have multiple places where your Hidden Teslas could spawn, placing Giant Bombs in the others can be an effective strategy. A Giant Bomb takes up the same amount of space (2×2) as a Hidden Tesla. If you love using Giant Bombs and you want to get a good amount of troops with it, place it where you commonly see a large amount of troops deployed when you are being attacked.Giant Bombs can do serious damage to moderate-health troops, such as low-level Giants or Hog Riders and usually instantly kill low-health troops such as Barbarians, Archers, Goblins, and Wizards.Doing so is free and occurs automatically once the player logs into the game. Once activated, the Giant Bomb must be re-armed in order to be a part of the next defense. This deals splash damage to all enemies within a 3-4 tile radius, depending on the Giant Bomb's level. It is essentially a much more powerful (and expensive) version of the Bomb. Like the Bomb, the Giant Bomb explodes when an enemy comes into proximity. The Giant Bomb is unlocked at Town Hall level 6.Unfortunately, that clue seems to indicate that the Valkyrie will not be one of the four Super Troops coming in the initial wave with the Spring update. “…he’s gonna go out with a massive boom!”īased on that clue, I believe it will be either the Wall Breaker or Balloon. There’s still one more Super Troop to be revealed. His mechanic isn’t anything totally unique to the game, but at least he’s not a direct clone from a troop in the Builder Base. The Super Giant is the third Super Troop coming with the update and he’s by far the most welcomed. That said, the Super Giant still has the same seven day ability duration and seven day cool down as the others. Unlike the Super Barbarian and Sneaky Goblin, the Super Giant’s strength isn’t a temporary boost to his damage and health when placed it will last until the giant is defeated. Considering he has triple the health and double the damage, that’s definitely a worthy upgrade. He will take up 10 housing space which is only double the amount of the regular Giant. The Super Giant will require Town Hall 12 and Level 9 Giant and will cost 60,000 Dark Elixir.
